I have spent a fair bit of time on this board (3 straight days at the Merimbula classic) and really loved its down the line speed and drivey turns.
It picks up anything - to a point that it feels like you have an unfair advantage. These boards have a different feel, with the chined rails and thin nose. The chines improve the glide and rail to rail transition. They nose ride like no other and you can snap a turn if you get you foot back on the tail pad. It is a board I pull out for smaller more crowded days. I haven't surfed it in over 4' yet but the board feels like it would handle some size as well. The weight is not an issue on a wave, it just adds to the drive, speed and stability of this board.
If weight is you thing check out the Sunova Styles. We specialise in performance longboards.
If you are in Sydney check out our demo fleet and go for a paddle

nice report..I'm just hanging out for some TC Demo's on the GC. Have $ waiting to spend…seems the perfect board for a good solid 2ft Burleigh Peeler.
AA can you please share some light about glide, turning ability and built quality regarding the Naish Nalu 10'6 vs JP Allround 10'6. Thanks.
Hey Chris, the manager of Balmoral, Sam Watts has spent a bit of time on both these boards. Two excellent all round boards in this category. The general feedback is that these boards are almost identical.
Sam is the guru on all these performance longboard style boards as it is his specialty.
It is best to call him though, you could write pages about the subtle differences between all these boards. 02 9905 8826
