SUNOVA is really getting a name for itself in the longer boards and the addition of the new 10'6 SURF, tops off what really is an extensive range of performance longer boards.
In contrast to the Mal-like 10'6 STYLE, which loves open faces and camping up front, the 10'6 SURF offers true all-round performance.
Designed to take on a wider range of wave types, with a more aggressive style, this board is fast and nimble off the tail.
It is no shabby nose rider either and the glide of this board makes it a great flat water tourer as well.
Thumbs up so far from those who have tried it. Stay tuned for further reviews.
This board lands in-store early October and will be available to demo as always, from Balmoral Paddlesurf.

Tx Casso for the SPSC club round pic of Kissa on the 10'6 SURF.

How does this board compare to the Naish Nalu 10'6?

You are just going to have to keep up. I try, but she who must be obeyed is watching me since we retired. (don't think she knows about the 12'6 Sunova Faast on order) Anyone know a good lawyer? I'll just plead insanity."I'm sorry your Honour, I was just crazy about the board."

So far it is thumbs-up on this board. Sam Watts our resident 10'6 shredder is currently putting it through its paces. He doesn't like being rushed though! Stay tuned!

I feel for you brothers! You could always do what I did - give in completely and start a shop. That really confuses them!
STC, I do believe the steady flow of new boards for this season has now been exhausted. Knowing Bert though he has already conjuring up something new for next season!

Wicksy I just weighed it in the shop and it looks like it's somewhere between 10.5 and 11 kilo.

How does it paddle in flat water? Would this board be a good alternative to Nalu 10'6? Also what about the Australian price?

The Board has good glide in flat water which also helps with catching waves.
It is a similar weigh to the Naish Nalu 10'6 GT which is being phased out and replaced with the new GT Wood.
The RR on the SUNOVA 10'6 Surf is $2199

I had a look at it in the shop and I'd be getting it over the Nalu any day. Looks awesome.

We will have this board at our DEMO on Monday at Balmoral so we will get some feedback from customers on how they feel it paddles.
As far as surfing it goes, a local big board frother, gave it the big thumbs up today!

I have been trying to get some decent footage of the 10'6 SURF in action.
This is all I have managed to get so far..... I seem to have trouble aiming the camera properly

but.... it shows how easily it moves around on a wave.... so that's something.

Geeze... I had to check the center fin length... then forgot to reply

I was using the stock fins.
The center fin is 8" and I have it close to the back of the box.
