Did find a soft spot......helmet impact or something. Boldly drilled 3 holes through deck pad and used tiny funnel to put resin in. Already had resin.......or would have taken to expert. Also will be covered by deck pad

Yes I think 30.3 is what is on it and 118 litre maybe it is one of the early ones or just wrong numbers not carbon either but feels quite light hopefully I will be able to paddle it comfortably But at the price i couldn't resist having a crack. A few years ago I had a similar looking jamie Mitchell board that felt awesome in bigger waves

Seems the numbers on the board are wrong after all, just measured it and can't find much more than 29 inch across the bottom which is what it's supposed to be not the 30.3 it's got written on it, 29 would be the minimum I would buy now, was a struggle on the first board I had a 26 or so wide x about 9ft 6 from Hawaii

From your description it sounded like they printed the width from the 9'4 on your board. If it continues to be stable for you in the surf I think you will love it on the bigger waves. A friend and I compared my Surrator to another shaper's 8'10 at the beach yesterday as he is considering a Surrator. Much more pulled in, refined and thinned out nose and tail on the Surrator which accounts for how it performs.

Finally got old pad off.....Creatures deck pad on. This actually took two creatures 6 piece deck pads with two pieces left over (they very narrow......needed a centre panel). Kick pad 400 mm from rear of board. Went quite a long way forward as often step up there

That's cool to hear about the surrator in new plymouth cash converters as it was my old board. Definitely 29 wide. When I got it I though this feels quite trippy for a 30inch wide board. I think it ended up in cashies for about a year. A good board just to big for me. Next board was a 8ft by 30 then I got a speeed at 7'11 by 26 and now I have a sunova flash at 8 x 27 custom. About 93 litres I think. Glad someone finally bought it

Cool I took it out yesterday for the first time , felt good but so far I still prefer the 88 x32

Very cool! I wonder if over time you may prefer the extra performance from the 29" width on the Surrator over the x32...
