Surfing iSUP. (Fanatic Air)

Hi All,

I would love to know if any one has tried a fanatic fly air 10' in surf before. I would love to know how well it handles and how much worse it is than an equivalent/similar epoxy board.

Are they any value in steeper waves 3 foot and larger?

Hi Vernon,
I've got a Fly Air 10' and Fly Air Touring 11'. I've had a play with the fly air in the surf, up to about 3ft. Good for a giggle, but don't think you could compare it to an epoxy board. To be fair, i don't come from a SUP surf background and haven't had a decent epoxy in the surf, but the flex in the air made it a bit of a fork in a bowl of spag-bog type experience. i was probably only running it around 15psi, so cranking that up would probably make it a bit stiffer.

Love the iSUP for convenience and portability, but i don't think they really rate on the same scale as epoxy as far as performance goes.
