She actually doesn't particularly like it, but it was the only option for this trip.
She finds it, if not tippy, very corky and she lacks confidence on it.
She has trouble in any wind with the board getting blown around.
Much prefers her 11'6 Tom Carroll.

Another quiet day around Jurien Bay.
Pinnacles Desert, only about 7km from the coast.
The place was quite breathtaking, not sure if its Lunar, Martian, or graveyard.

In to the town of Cervantes, hoping for lobster but finding only tourist buses on day trips from Perth, and very expensive lobster.

Have moved to Fremantle, preparing for The Wife One to depart, and Aloha Hugo to fly in.
Lazy days no paddling or board talk.

Fremantle to Albany via the Sterling Ranges.
Spectacular scenery on a 42 km dirt road diversion.

Esperance to Balladonia via Cape Arid National Park.
Brilliant couple of days.

Now you are talking Nozza.. Off the beaten track and getting some colour on the wagon. Great photos!! It is a truly spectacular country we live in

Nullarbor Roadhouse to Streaky Bay, via Penong, Cactus, Ceduna.
Howling windy and rain squalls.

Coffin Bay to Cowel via Lincoln National Park.










Adelaide tomorrow for Hugo to fly out - the adventure may be over.....

So, the Ningaloo got paddled flatwater a fair bit in the first lockdown.
Planned trips to Merimbula, Scotts Head, Merimbula banned by Chairman Dan.
And my favourite Merimbula accomodation unit declined to book me as an undesireable paddler who takes over the place, stays up late, and talks.
I was stuck in Melbourne for the second lockdown, the Ningaloo at the Island, and wouldn't have been allowed out on it for a lot of the time anyway.
Back to the Island, a week of recreational gardening completed, sitting in the garage starting to contemplate putting Hexatraction on the KangaNozz.
But the Ningaloo was occupying one of the board stands.


Not a problem, take it apart and make room, various SIC boards occupying other space.
Then had a thought.
I do every now and then.
The Ningaloo was last put together in Geraldton in July 2019, hasn't been apart since.
Maybe it was now a one piece board?
Found the multi tool, approached the deck bolts.
Not even slightly stuck, undid easily.


Turn the board over.


Again, no problem, no sign of corrosion.
But will it come apart?


Bit of a sucking noise, but slid apart with no resistance.
