Beerpig rides the 9'2" Pro Carbon and rips on it when he is not infuriating the surfers in between waves

Hey Supa
What's the stability like? I had the 2012 one that was 4.8 thick & a rolled deck. Found it quite tippy.

I found the stability great in fact beta than some of my other boards which are wider etc, it's my favourite board at the moment for both big and small waves. Long enough that its easy to paddle with good glide but has the performance to throw around for manourvers off the lip. I'm not sure of the differences btw the 2012 & 2013 models but the deck on mine is pretty well flat and have found it lot easier for stability when going over white wash etc or just standing around waiting for the next set.

Thanx Supa
That's pretty much what I thought & was hoping to hear. The 2012 board was a great surfer, but the thickness & rolled deck made you feel quite high out of the water & unstable. It was the only thing I didn't like about it.
Could be time for a trade in....... Again

My rule is "The board I'm riding is just temporary till I see the next shinny toy"

Hey Supa, do you have a deck pad on yours or just the Star Touch?

Yeah, have used xtrak grip and a xtrak tail pad, not a fan of the startouch, too hard on the feet to stand on for long periods plus it does not have enough grip particularly when trying to throw the board during manourvers, the startouch is okay for the front end of the board if I need to get to the nose during paddling onto a wave or just a nose ride but the standing area back to tail is gripped.
