Please if anyone can leave me their experiences or comments I would be very grateful.

I have the Starboard PRO carbon 8'0 x 29'' 121 liters model year 2022. This model was a compact model and was a board with slight instability but better surfing.

Now I am thinking to move to the Starboard PRO 8'2 x 29'' x 118 liters from years 2023-2024-2025 and 2026 (they are going to release it too). It seems to be a best seller.
However, this 8'2 board is different to the 8'0. It is longer, more rocker, the tail is very different. Less 3 litres.

I'm worried about the change and it may not be for the better.

anyone who can tell me their feelings if you have the 8'2 please and if you have had the 8'0 from 2021-2022 and can comment?

I guess that 2023 onwards, with the advent of the Spice model, they could make the pro more radical (more geared to powerful waves).

So if you are looking for more stability and ease of use, go for the spice, otherwise the newer pros seems geared for more powerful waves at the expense of stability than the one you have.

I have this board in that exact size (2023 graphics version). It is wonderful and whilst it's not what I would normally reach for in tiny waves, it can work in those conditions.

Colas is absolutely correct though. It's designed to work in bigger and more powerful waves and it really shines in those conditions. It does everything I ask of it in a controlled manner.

I don't know your personal dimensions, but I am a big fat bastard at around 105 kgs and can sink the nose or the tail if I don't stand in the appropriate place and it took me a while to crack it. Patience and perseverance has paid off. Figuring out fore-aft stability was the key. Now it feels wonderful even in janky chop and a 125 litre board feels a bit corky and strange.

Here is proof that it can work in tiny summer jank and I know that everyone loves some blurry Surfline cam action.

I'm at 95 kg. In 2023 I also bought the 7'10x 28"" x104 liters. After a couple of months and testing it I decided to sell it. It was ok in a way but it was a hard workout and effort every time I tried it. I am an advanced sup surfer but not an expert. I had in 2020 the same board but in 29".. and it worked for me but still a bit demanding. in 2022 i decide to move to the 8'0 x 29" pro in the old model but it is a more compact format.

do you think the 118 liters 8'2 x 29" will be appropiate for 95 kg ? does it feel surfy or too long? would you buy anyother?

No worries, mate. It's a very surfy board and the 8'2 x 29" x 118 litre is pretty much perfect size to be your all around board at 95 kgs. I don't notice the difference in length between my Infinity 7'10" and the SBPro 8'2" so I would not worry about that. The Pro is awesome at top turns and bashing close out sections.

I am sure that there are other similar boards, but the only alternative I would consider is the upcoming Infinity Blurr v3 - 8'2" x 29" x 110L. More challenging with 8 litres less, but this is going to be my next board and the volume for your weight (110/95 =1.158) suggests that it's very much your sweet spot.

I think too many people give up on slightly unstable boards too quickly. Give it a bit of time and one day it will click. Everything is better on a lower volume board.
