I had a few nice small waves on one and did not like it at all, would not want to buy one after that. It just felt like a big fat pig.An 11 ft plus Bic felt a lot better. I think you you should try a few other boards to compare first.

I have never ridden one but just looking at the shape.....well.....nose riders should be very thinned out in the tail and nose and rails too. The nose I saw was really thick.....really thick. If you are after a nose rider check out Linter's threads. Jimmy Lewis Black and White is the nearest to one I have seen....unless you are going custom. Plenty boards out there though that noseride well though......my Nalu for example!

The Bkend is a great board and IMO a better choice..

Just bought the 2015 noserider and blend models in carbon and luv them. The nose rider is a bit deceptive in its looks, it is so manvourable with a great pin tail design and the large concave on the nose makes nose riding easy. The blend paddles so easy getting waves yet is still very to turn for an 11 ft board, its my ripple rider for days when proners and smaller sups are kilin themselves paddling to get on a wave, it just glides by yet I took it out in 3 ft surf the other day and it has enough performance for a lot of fun. I had the naish nalu before these boards, while it is a great board, the advantage of a lighter board in carbon makes a huge difference when turning on the wave etc.

i wonder if they've redesigned the new starb noserider. i bought one the year they came out and it's the worst board i've ever own and i've owned a good many. sold it 3 weeks after i got it. whatta dog! (i'm still pissed off about how bad it was, ifn you cant tell ....)

Both the noserider & blend have changed shape from the 2014 to the 2015 models to address the criteria of performance

Naaaah...I understand the 2015 version is still volumous in the nose and that is very noticeable in the turns and when paddling out....stay clear of it. Go for the Blend...much better board. The Drive is also very good...proven shape but will be a little more tippy but better in the surf.

i have a Nalu.....superb board......

I demo'd a 10" noserider today in 2/3 ft surf. Was superb and such a fun board...turned on a dime and was very easy to get up the nose. A really enjoyable 2 hrs on some fun waves. I have a Mctavish nose rider longboard and the Starboard noserider felt nothing like a longboard..was just super responsive, super fast and the rocker is set just right for smaller 2/3 ft waves. Easy to paddle out and ploughed through waves no problem. Looking forward to trying a Nalu soon on my search for a 2nd board for smaller days. So far I would prefer a Starboard noserider over a Naish Mana....

I rode one in merimbula and was pleasantly surprised! I agree the shape kinda looks a bit meh! But I had an absolute ball on it. I got so confident on it I ended up surfing switch foot.
