Im reluctant to let everyone know how much fun I had this arvo on The Stinger.
Its a demo board and I really want to hang onto it longer hehehe. BACK OFF ITS MINE!
The conditions were onshore around 10 knots from the NW. Tiny waves no bigger than waist high at Trigg Point.
It paddled great through the break, had plenty of glide and was very stable.
This was very surprising as I expected it to be alot harder to use.
The water was choppy and I was able to maintain good balance although it took more concentration than say the 11'2 which I ride all the time.
Paddling for a wave was super easy as SUP surfing should be. Catching waves way before they had even started to break.
On the wave it rode shweet. The quad fin set up is amazingly loose. Cutbacks were done on a 5c piece. this blew my mind and is what got me super stoked with this board. With the aid of the paddle I was able to turn the board as good if not better than my 6 foot shortboard.
So not the best conditions but an absolute ripper of a board.
Cant wait to get some clean waves with The Stinger

Got myself one.The board rocks, the quad setup is gold, grab yourself one before they all sell out.I wouldn't swap it for my bandit kites.
PS cant wait to ride it in 10 knots with my bandits.Life's been good to me so far.

I have set this board up as a Thruster and feel it surfs so much better. Felt the quad was too loose and the thruster lets you drive the board through turns and tracks much better. Much more like riding my shortie. Great board though.

Hi,

can't help but agree! The thruster setup is a great option for paddlers who look for a grippier board but unfortunately this feature is not included in the AST Classic version.

Best regards,
Marco
