I'm looking to purchase my first SUP. I live in Maine and will mostly paddle on a lake with minimal waves, but will occasionally go to the bay/river. I'm 6' and 215 lbs.

One of my biggest concerns is stability in the colder months... I'd hate to fall into the frigid water when it's almost ice, but I do have decent balance and a few months to get better before it gets cold out. It would be nice to be able to put my 4 year old daughter on the board every once in a while for a ride.

The shop I'm looking at has:
2012 Coreban Vision 12'6" Pure for $1,800 (bag included)
2011 Tahoe Zephyr 14' for $1,500 (no bag)
2011 Naish Glide 14' Carbon for $1,550 (bag included, but I noticed it has a ding on the nose of the board)

I seem to be going back and forth between the Vision and the Zephyr. I had initially considered the Glide but I'm a little worried about the stability. I haven't found much on the Vision other than promotional videos but nothing on how it rides. The looks of the vision seem like it would have performance, but how would it be for paddling around the lake? The Zephyr seems like a great board to paddle around the lake and give my daughter a ride on, but looks like it wouldn't perform as well as the Vision if I wanted to race one day.

Given these three boards and my goals which would you recommend?

Steve
