I agree with Grenfell the V2 is more suited to the east coast of Australia. My partner bought one and when she had surfed it she said if I get on it I won't give it back, she was correct, she had to go buy a 2nd one

I am not much into downwinding, but love surfing the bay waves near us, and it surfs like an 11' board. I used to be wedded to the theory for me that it has to be 30's wide. I have tried the old bullets a couple of times as I was keen to get one, but they were just too tippy for me, the V2 has awesome secondary stability and you just have to go with it. The 2nd time I paddled we went across the bay in the open channel and i didn't fall off. It was so good, we then paddled literally home via the open ocean and only fell off once going past the back wash walls (it wasn't too rough a day) and then surfed it on on the beach break. That was it for me sold the 30' wide Naish Glide within a week! And we bought the 2nd board.Here is the run we did;

so maybe just maybe I might start down winding!
Not sure where in the big USofA you are but if its anywhere like here I'd give it a crack!BTW in the vid he stands well back probably to use the rudder steer, personally I wouldn't get the steering as it interferes, and I reckon you would get on less runners being so far back - just IMHO
