Hi,

Im looking at the Ride the Tide Padleboards for a beginner board. Mainly flat water.

They have a Christmas special on at the moment for $1250 for board, paddle, bag & tape.

Has anyone used/reviewed these boards for quality?

Cheap Chinese heavy construction though if all you are doing is lesuirely paddling around it will do the job just fine.
For $1250 though an extra $250-$500 will get you a top quality brand and possibly paddle being Xmas deals at shops.

Or for $1250 jump on here and pick up a top quality 2nd hand brand in the classifieds for around $1000 then spend $250 on a brand new top brand paddle and you are set.

I'd consider the Atlantis or the gulliver sups to be the better two out of all the cheaper online stuff as they atleast have been around for a few years now and boards have improved out of site quality wise.

Our SUPs weigh in at only 10 - 13kgs and we have been making them for around 2 years now. You are more than welcome to come down and test one out if you are local and see how great they are! Our SUPs are affordable than some as we don't have all the overheads that other SUP shops do - hence our wholesale prices.

They are good all rounders and work great in flat water and the swell.

Does the Atlantis brand still have quality issues?
