There are a few really good shops in Perth and all super nice people run them, i'm sure if you go in wanting to buy to boards they would be able to look after you.

Many of the shops specialise in certain brands... in Scarborough see Darren at Stand Up Paddle Perth - Scarborough Beach Road. (Fanatic, Coreban, Surftech and NSP) otherwise head to Fremantle to Stand Up Surf Shop and see Mike or Cam (Naish and Starboard).

Hi Fuall,
It depends on which brand of board you are chasing! But demo whatever you want, and go in asking - if you buy two, can they do a great price? You can research the normal retail prices by phone/internet if you know what you want. Luckily the aussie dollar means that if anything prices have come down in 2013 buying new, this is certainly my experience! Either way, in Perth there are plenty of SUP dealers now.

Good luck, Mottman

Hi Fuall,

Hey Darth, we aren't on Scarborough Beach Road, but you can find us on West Coast Highway in Scarborough on the corner of Brighton Road.

Drop in and say G'day. I'm sure we can help you out with the right gear to suit you, your needs, and your budget.

Cheers,

DM

I'll be back in town later in the week and looking to demo a few boards and buying one. I'm just trying to get them tested in a few days off. I know who stocks what boards but no idea what anyone has available for demo. I'm looking to check out the following boards:

Starboard 9'5" and 10'5" Wide Point
Fanatic Allwave 9'6"

Happy to field any other suggestions (as long as I can find a demo) for a mostly wave board for small Perth waves that can still do a bit of flatwater work with the missus. Looking for something with good stability but still lively underfoot. 98kgs and dropping, 6', couple months of experience but dead keen.

Any help/info/suggestions appreciated.
Josh
