Have read various mixed reviews on this board. Would appreciate some more views / thoughts on this board from anyone who has ridden one pro's con's etc.

There is a very cheap one 2nd hand in MR at the moment.

Very good boards had one for quite a while. my 108kg pushed its boundaries as far as stability, could have be my balance then though.

IMHO it is one of Blanes best early shapes. More below

I have a 9'6" WR have owned since March. I love it ! I have taken it to Indo twice and ridden it in good waves. I ride it in small waves around Perth and it goes well. I'm 5'10" and 95 kgs and it floats me well. It did take me a little getting used to after coming down from a 10'5" but it wasn't hard. When its small I put a smaller centre fin in it (about 5 0r 6" I think) and move it forward. When its bigger or windy I put a larger fin in the centre. I run G5 on the sides tried littlier ones but didn't like it. Check my profile of some it in some indo waves white one with pointy nose (obviously). Hope this helps.

Demo'ed this board earlier in the year and found the rails really quite boxy and big. When paddling for waves if the rails grabbed the board would skew hard and be nearly impossible to keep straight.

Found it really stable, had good glide but decided on the 9'3 ripper in the end.

Agree with hilly if your over the 0.1 ton club the 9'6wr is a very handy board in the quiver. The bigger it gets the better it handles it. The flatter rocker of this board compared to some allows you to paddle onto the wave easier.

I would highly recomend it, Rating 4 smiley faces

Hey Fergus set it up with PC7 inside foils all round (use a finbox adaptor) and its bulk fun!

That board must have some real stability, at 136 litres for over the 1 ton club as you mention

I cant say enough about how beautiful this board is, I had the mctavish 9'0 and it was tippy but OK.
I was looking for a little more stability, And also glide

Well, I found it in this board, Construction is good, surfs wicked I am 90kg but more like 95 wet.

I have been on this board now three times, And each surf gets better and better
I do however have to adjust the way i surf it vs the mctavish but more time will be fruitful.

The only downside so far is i find it will not turn as quick on rail vs the mctavish but then i have not got it dialed in yet.
