Looking at purchasing a new paddle. Primarily used for flatwater and touring, occasional ocean paddle. I currently use a Sunova Silver wave, which has a stock standard, 82 blade. Only paddle I've ever used, so unable to compare to others. I am 58 yrs old, 80 kg, had previous shoulder issues, paddle 2x per week/10-12 km each time. I am interested in the KeNalu Kohini paddle. Currently on sale for $499. Their website recommends a 90sq" blade for my weight. Any feedback on this paddle, blade size, shaft options and grip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
If you're going for the KeNalu, the Mana 82 would be the better choice imo, especially in light of your shoulder issues. The Konihi is harder on the shoulders in my experience.
