Been checking these out and with the new construction I'm pretty well ready to pull the trigger on the 10'4 Long Grain . Has anyone ridden any of these new boards ? Keen to find out about durability ect . Got no doubts about the shape and how it will perform.

Bump. I'm really interested in these too, SMH.
Amazing how little info there is on some boards out there compared to others. The clip on the GSI site is a winner and there's a really interesting one on Facebook with TC on tiny waves (on a prototype). Talk about GLIDE. But you know all that.
I suspect these might get little footwells after a while but that's pure speculation based on a couple of internet comments about the previous model. So perhaps that's unfair. And I reckon they will handle differently through turns compared to a more standard bottom shape. Maybe less user friendly initially, but more rewarding in the long run...
I have an 8'10 Speeed which is great for surfing. And a SIC Recon 11'11 which is unbelievably good for ripple riding. I reckon the Long Grain would be the happiest of mediums.
I reckon you might have to roll the dice. (Take one for the team, bro).
But I'm hoping there are some owners out there who can chime in, hence the (long winded) bump.

Not sure if this is relevant, but I've got a 2 year old Outer Reef.
No idea about construction new vs. old, but this board seems bullet proof.
No compression / footwells or anything.
My go to surf sup, (i'm not very good), and the best board stability wise to put beginners on.

Yeah McGuane I checked that footage as well and it would be the ideal board for the beach break near my place . That low rocker forward and concaves and chines with that flipped tail make for a really nice trim and it looks like it comes around nice as well. I spoke to the distributor and he told me the construction is a lot better than the last lot . I rode the first long grain a few years back and liked it but the construction put me off a little . I was told the new construction is far better so I'm willing to take a punt . Not sure when I'm going to get one but it will be in the next few months .

That's good to know Nozza but the long grain is a lot different to the Outer Reef . I'm riding the older Surftech boards at the moment Laird and Gerry Lopez and they're as bomb proof as you can get but getting on a bit and it's time for a newie

the Carbon Fusion Construction is a series of multilayer Carbon and FG formed by using Vacuum Bagging. It's pretty good. If you live in Sydney I am in Manly and you can test ride mine. It's a lot of fun to ride. Compared to the V1 of these this is like a Falcon rocket compared to an old Holden.
