I just received my new 2016 Naish Odysseus 11'2''.

I'm new to SUP so I cant give a good review other than to say it's very stable and goes very straight.

I do have a couple of questions if you dont mind?

1. What's the function of the Tie Down Points?
2. The board takes a M8 Windsurf Kite Insert. Where in Australia can I get a windsurf kite?

1. Just get some stretchy cord/string from hardware or boat supplies and you can tie down stuff when you want to cruise for a long way. (E.g. a water bottle or a dry bag with your phone/camera/snacks ... or a six pack of Coronas... or whatever).
2. Not my area of expertise, but I believe a lot of the bigger SUP joints also help out with the sail side. Try www.surffx.com.au/windsurfing/
3. Nice board. I have one of those as well. Weighs approx one tonne, but surfs great in the small stuff, stable as a table, and paddles like a dream.

1. They're for tying stuff down - boards like the Odysseus are partly aimed at 'touring" where you might want to carry stuff on your board (like food, clothing, etc). A couple of bucks worth of bungee cord from a hardware shop and you're in business there.

2. The M8 insert in the board will take a standard screw-in mast base for a windsurf rig. The word "kite" is probably an artifact of somebody's poor proof reading. (Note: this M8 insert is not to be confused with the board's vent plug)
