I am based in Sydney and looking for a touring SUP for some casual cruising and fishing. I am 173cm, 65kg and with a budget of $1400. At the moment I am looking at between a 2012 Naish Glide 12' 6" for $999 and Yolo Prowler 14'0" for $1280. Can anyone give any feedback on these two boards?

Thanks for your advice Tardy. I will certainly look into the bigger board around the 14' range.

I'd also lean towards the 14' board.

We've got a 2012 Starboard Race - 12'6 X 31.5 290 litres you may be interested in checking out for another option.
It's a wider, sporty touring board.

I would go with the Yolo over the 28" Glide, but it would be worth considering the SB Race CSPS mentioned if you are into "casual" cruising. I had the Race in the 31.5" and it is very stable in rough waters and good platform to fish from. It is one of the most popular shapes SB has ever produced along with the Coast Runner in 14', and the nose shape is making a come back for 2016. It just works. The 31.5" is not very fast in the flats but the fun factor makes up for it in open water with stability in spades.

I also agree with this nbhood.the wider bigger board will be better for fishing off .my 33" glide is more stable just standing around than my 14 ." 28"wide especially if your side on to a wave .( swell)
width is stability
