Should be getting the new Nalu 11 4 soon and note it comes with a whopping 10.5 fin......guessing most slap on something a little bit small for surfing?

Are you getting the GT [thruster fin] or GS [single fin] board.

I guess it's the GS if you're getting the 10 1/2'' fin.

I'm thinking something like this fin would be perfect.. I used a 9 1/2'' dolphin fin in my 11'4'' Nalu.

Yes DJ - it is the single fin. Used to have a fantastic Rainbow MD3 10 inch fin in my longboard which would have been ideal (but sold) as it had large base for hold but narrowed tip for turning. Think I have some 9 inch plus fins kicking about still - will need to dig them out. Just think 10.5 is going to be a bit big unless it is narrowed out a bit...not seen it yet but guess it will be pretty standard.

Thanks

Will give it a go but probably a little too big for me.....not seen the rocker properly though. Can guess Mr Naish surfs bigger and better quality waves than I do

Yes, the family of fins based on the Greenough-4A trueames.wordpress.com/2010/03/12/george-greenough-fins-by-true-ames/ are really the most versatile single fins I have had. Really shine on somewhat shorter boards (killer as a single fin setup on my 7'7" wing/sting), or fast waves.

On long SUPs, however, I find the "finger" fins (like the 4C) also good as they make the board much quicker to turn around while paddling.

For noserides however, nothing beats a big hatchet or D fin.
