Bought the 11'4 Nalu, which I'm finding a fun board
Thinking of selling it and buying the 10'6 x 28 older model.
More a financial decision than anything.
I'm 100kgs what would be the -ves of the changeover
Haven't found much info on the 28 wide nalu

I had one.. I'm 95kgs and found it too tippy for me in anything but calm conditions..

I know Dogman had one and loved it.. The new 10'6" shape is soooo much better.

I have a 11'4 Nalu and am 110 kgs but get to often ride the new 10'6 not the old shape. It can work for me, but is tougher and doesnt have the glide as i think it sits almost underwater, I am told the old shape is tippy........I reckon stick with the 11'4 - its only money

I have a 10'6x28 Nalu and weighed 95kg when I was learning to sup. Its tippy and bouyancy was marginal with my 95kgs on it. I still managed to learn to sup on the Nalu, spent 2 years on it, however it chucked me off quite a bit if I got side on to the chop. As said above, it was fine when it was glassy and I found it surfed well on the wave but didn't get onto the wave easily due to it bogging down in the water. Has a bit of rocker too and that slows you down as well.

I still have the Nalu but have purchased a 2014 Fanatic allwave 9.5 which is astoundingly good in the surf, it really will catch "allwaves" and turns on a dime compared to the Nalu. Regular suping has got my weight down to 88kgs, the Nalu is noticeably better now with a lighter weight rider but remains nowhere near as good as the Allwave.
