i have a new naish Hokua, still under warranty.
on the bottom of the board the finish coat has gone blotchy with light color patches all over the bottom only. i think from the first time i used it and put it back in the board bag wet and left it.
is this common
can i fix it
or should i ring the supplier
any help would be appreciated

I've had a lot of Naish boards and seen so many but I don't think I've seen what you are talking about.. I'm sure Naish would want to know about it.. Unless people complain/coment they would never know there's a problem.. Give Winginuity in Sydney a call and ask to speak with Aidan.. Or check with your local Naish dealer.

My new Mana 9'0" also has developed a couple darker blotches in the yellow paint. I always rinse my board and that's about the only time the bottom gets any sun. I'm kinda just watching as I don't think it is getting worse, plus it seems just to be in the paint surface. I'm guessing some kind of contaminant in the paint. Maybe I should at least fire an email off to the dealer and Naish. FYI, my Naish is out of China.

p.s. The gloss finish also scratches easily, not as bullet proof as my old Starboard finish.

Thanks DJ i will speak to the dealer, its definitely in the paint with that new flat paint look, it doesn't worry me now but just in case it gets worse i better check.

Where is this "Winginuity in Sydney" you speak of?? Can't find a number for them..

But also I have found these tiny bubbles on my Naish 10'0 hull. It lives in a cover but have heard that this can cause the problem...? I'm a bit dirty that the board is not 12 months old but is this common on SUPS? Just want to check as I don't want to have this with my new Starboard..

Here's a link.. www.windgenuity.com.au/

It's hard to see in that pic but I've noticed that many different brand boards have little imperfections in the paint and might not look great up close but should have no effect on performance.

I'm sure the guys at Windginuity will want to fix things up for you if it's a warranty issue.

Not sure where you bought your naish, but if you got it from one of the 2 retailers on the goldy I am confident it will get sorted as quickly as possible and you will be well looked after.
I know I said this a coupla years ago, bit IMO seabreeze is no place to ask for warranty advice about sups - the retailer who sold you the board is the first point of contact in every case and then if you get no joy - the wholesaler/importer.
