And all that money just to be a rich Billy-no-mates.
I watched a couple of kitesurfers foiling the other day. It looked like fun. But they have the considerable benefit of something to hold onto. We will just have a paddle that is suddenly too short. Without the power of wind or machine to help us, is this a realistic sport or just an expensive novelty, soon to be left in the corner of the garage for 363 days a year?
Maybe if the foil was £500 and could be retrofitted to an old board for another £100 it might be worth a punt. Maybe.
