Looks like ISIS might now take to SUP. Wouldn't want to be around one of those foils if the user is inexperienced or reckless

What about the actual user, if the board tips sideways and you land on the wings..... how stable are they in that regard?

Hmm, you could get a double-carbon Bullet 17 for less than that. Or a NSP DC 17-10 and enough money left over for a holiday to Maliko Gulch...

That's a lot of money to spend , only to discover you don't like it much.

And all that money just to be a rich Billy-no-mates.

I watched a couple of kitesurfers foiling the other day. It looked like fun. But they have the considerable benefit of something to hold onto. We will just have a paddle that is suddenly too short. Without the power of wind or machine to help us, is this a realistic sport or just an expensive novelty, soon to be left in the corner of the garage for 363 days a year?

Maybe if the foil was £500 and could be retrofitted to an old board for another £100 it might be worth a punt. Maybe.

You won't land on the foils, you'll be launched far from them.

Worry more about the foil landing on you. Until you're riding tubes not too much worry.
