Hi, just wondering if anybody is riding nsp slx surf 10x27, the model with bottom channels? If so could you give a bit of a review? Would like to know whether it can be surfed like a longboard , perhaps with a large single fin and not as
a thruster set up. Don't hear much about them , but not a bad looking board,love to hear the pros and cons. Thanks in advance.

Crusty,check Jonesey surfing them in the old nsp vids ,he is currently selling one very cheap. It's more designed for performance but ,a single fin would work as well! The main problem could be the numbers as they are only 27ish wide!and low in liters

Hi, I had one of the original 10' x 27" without the channels which was a great board, rode it with a 9" single fin, unfortunately it got damage and they replaced it with a 10' x 29" with the channels. Although it had more volume and wider it didn't feel any bigger and also surfed it with the 9" single, they are great boards and I would recommend them, they surf great either on the nose or tail. The only reason I moved it on was because it was the only board I surfed for 12 months in all conditions and felt like a change.

or was it a bit of a battle, i think it is fairly thick, around 4", so maybe ok ? And can I also ask, with single 9" single fin
was it fairly loose to cut back and turn? Obviously wouldn't be as loose as thruster set up!

I had no problems with the stability of the 27" I'd say it's more stable than my 28" style lord and surfed it in some pretty choppy conditions and was still loose with a 9" fin.

Thanks again, R.R think i'm going to bite the bullet and buy, unless anyone has something good to review in the 10' category. Hoping it will surf as good as it looks and coming from a craftsmen like D.C , i reckon it will have good DNA.
