Never taken one out but picked up a carbon infinity in the shop the other day and its heavier and feels cheaper than my Starboard Enduro.

I've used them and they're ok..

I'd rate them as about a 2 out of 5 comparing it with most other paddles that I've used.

I think they're more suited as a cheaper option, beginner, or flat water cruising paddle than a hard charging surfing or flat water racing paddle.

Just looked on the NP paddle site.. I see there are three different constructions.. and my comment is only relivent to the base model.. Because it was a demo paddle..

It could be that the full carbon top of the range is much better than what I used..
