Hey guys,
my name is yossi

hope to find here some help choosing my new sup,
i had the hokuah 9.1 x32 series a great board, very sexy 150 liter, 32 wide, great on the wave but i find it unstable while paddling especially when im getting tired after 3-4 sessions and starting to fall- and the feeling is tippy.
last week i checked the 9.6 hokuah and i felt great, it was very stable but a little bit hard on the wave
my weight is 85 kg and 185 cm high

My dilemma is seeing others going down in the measures
while i am going the opposite.
what would you choose?

THX

Do you own both boards? Seems like you could ride the 9'1" until your legs give out, then go get the bigger board.

But if you have fun on the 9'6" then go for it. The only "rule" is to have fun!

The 9.1 x 32 is a very stable board I have the same weight and ok on the 8.8 in more than choppy conditions.
You mentioned 3 or 4 sessions , you mean a day ? And how long is a session cause I only do one or two for a longer period of time.
Just how long are you using this board, maybe it only takes a little more learning curve considering your weight you should be fine I think.

There is a board in between the 150 litre Hokua and the 170 Hokua that is the 160 litre mana ..take it for a blat .
I'm 95 kg and have the 9.6 ..but I am about to get a smaller board ..but I will keep my 9.6 ..it's a great board .
