My son - 9 - was riding an Adventure model from SUP ATX at the Pittwater SUP EXPO earlier in the year. They had a very small board that might be a good place to start if you want a new board.

I put my boy on a Fanatic allwave When he was 6 yrs. Perfect and super stable. Then I bought a Naish Keiko 9 ft. when he was 7. Too tippy. Now he is just 9 and back on Keiko and likes it.

picked up a Starboard 6'6 x 30 Impossible for $400.00 delivered.. Both my 4 & 11 year olds love to paddle this board in small waves as well as flat water.

Was a great pick up. Got the board straight from the importers. Just rang them up and asked what they had.
