I'm guessing the fanatic is a bit more forgiving

Going on numbers I see both brand equal each other

I.e

Fanatic prowave 8,9 = jp 8,6

Fanatic prowave 8,4 = jp 8,2

So both brand very close to each other as in litres and stability

Need the full specs to compare but on paper similar boards - but rocker line, max wide, tail width and rail outline can make a radical difference.

I had a Fanatic 8'4 Pro Wave and it was a good board.

Yea all good, I'm thinking both the 8,9 and the 8,4 Prowaves as a quiver.

I like the wider nose and a bit more fuller outline of the Prowaves vs jp .
I also find jp pushes water a lot and I'm thinking with the width in the nose of the rowave and less rocker it will paddle slightly better.
