Just picked up a new 8ft Jimmy Lewis Destroyer today from Rob on the Central Coast. I know this board has been covered before on this forum but I had just had to give it an almighty rap. I'm 5'9 and around 85kgs, and really only Sup part time, usually preferring to ride surf boards, but this thing took off and turned like nothing else I have ridden in clean 2ft conditions. I was really amazed. No issues with stability either.

Hi Barlowe, glad you're loving your new Destroyer....My 7'7" & 10' Destroyers are the best combo of sup's I've ever had... Covers all surf from 1' to 6' feet....Especially when you fin them as a Thruster or Quad...

Hey guys im frothing to get mine wet. The day it arrived I ruptured my Achillies and that was in October ..now NZ are in lockdown but due to go to Level 3 in a week. I'm pretty tempted to get amongst it if my leg allows me to. I have paired it with my sunova 8'5 speeed along with Smik foil board and f one wing. Since this photo it is now dressed with Hexa traction. Happy days

hows your rehab going? You're probably on the cusp of being ok (providing still not putting too much pressure through it ).
i snapped mine for the second time after 6 months on my first bike ride that the physio suggested to do. Felt great up until snapping again!
cant wait for the lockdown to end. I've been largely out of the water since Late Dec quite a bad concussion. where are you based? Should do a surf some time! what size board duke you get btw?

Hey benji..rehab going well..almost 6 months , feel strong too and have been tempted to get wet at Level 3 but I think I'm going to hang out for a bit more..I put a post up on NZsurfers page and spoke to a cpl of guys who have done similar and they reckon 8-10 months is the go..( which is what the physio said too) but I mite go for a cpl of flatwater paddles to ease into it first.
I'm in HB man. I got the JL 8 ft x 115 x 30..I found, before my injury that with all the foiling i was doing jumping back on the narrow speeed took me a few waves to get the rhythm again. So the destroyer was to cover that being wider and more stable .Meant I could have the Destroyer and the Smik on the roof , with the wing would cover all conditions. The speeed will be for super clean days now. Im excited try the board but also with the quobba fins she be a weapon. Just need my leg to play it's part and happy days man.

Nice one man, my partners cousins and friends live in HB so will have to come down a surf with you some time. those destroyers look nice, need to try foiling though! I picked up a 7'2 hypernut recently. Stupidly stable for its length and volume!

im glad the Physio's said 8-10 months for your recovery. Mine said I was recovering ahead of time and then at 6 months it snapped again! flat water paddling was good for my mental and physical rehab. I did wear my moonboot while paddling for a month or two just to be safe and strapped it up nice and tight. im about 2 years on now and the doctor said if anything was going to snap again after this long, it would be the other one! Haha fingers crossed not!

Would you or anyone else be able to give a short review of the 10 x 29 destroyer. And how much does it weigh

Hi Broadman,
Jimmy did the 10' x 29" Destroyer to fit in with the growing demand for the 10' performance sup market after the huge success of the smaller range of Destroyer's and after previously only having the 10' x 31" Striker to offer...
So it has more rocker with a beautiful pulled in rounded pin tail that's still really stable but turns like a dream...I think mines around 8kg from memory & goes unreal in 1' beachies to 6' foot reef breaks...
