Beautiful boards Jimmy makes, I have not personally rode the baby bombora i have looked and compared it to Son of, I have rode the son of bombora 10.6 ft and I want either one of them as my gun the 10.6 Son of bimbora surfs so much better than my 10.6 PSH gun I'd recommend getting it

I think the baby bomb has been discussed a while ago. Do a search for more discussion.

Hi
I have had the son of bom for about 2 years and until recently I only used it up north for big waves, last month my normal 9 ft board dyed and I resorted to the son of bom while researching a new board and all I can say is I just love this board and if I lost it tomorrow I would be hunting another one straight away, I am always amazed at the death pits this board makes and I cant count the number of times I have taken of on big fast waves and thought I am toast and to my amazement it seems to make them all, only negative is it seems huge out of the water and dosnt fit in the car so have to put it on the roof, I am 90kg and the board may feel a bit tippy for a 10'6 if an intermediate, I find it better as a thruster on smaller waves with centre fin forward and amazing how loose it is for its size, I prefer the quad set up for anything double overhead is best.
I rekon get one you wont regret it, I am not sure about the baby bom but if its the same shape it will be great.Enjoy

Good feedback wheels, i was wondering if you could elaberate more on your thoughts on going quad for the bigger waves agains the thrustor set up, i am looking at taking on some waves of consequence on a 10'8 naish soon and not sure of fin set up so your advice would be great.

Hi supvader
I have just found that if you are going to use a gun or semi gun on smaller waves you need it to be as loose as possible so the thruster set up with centre fin forward feels a lot looser than the quad set up, keeping in mind that everyone has their own style and preference.
On large waves I have found I want a lot more speed and less likely to rip as much, I have found that the quad set up on the son of bom seems to hold better with good control. The main thing is to try for yourself as depending on fin size your weight , wind , current etc etc and most important how you surf and the shape and speed of the wave. Enjoy

Thanks Towny, Simondo, Wheels, Supvader, for your inputs. Especially you Wheels, it's good to get 1st hand feedback...that 10'6 sounds awesome...I've ordered the Baby Bomb yesterday, for a start, and I'll give that a good run in what I'm used to , and I'll be trying it in some other nearby larger set-ups too..to open up some new options...especially with the quads in..

No worries Wheels...I think I'll have it in about a month or so...it's coming from Vietnam apparently...I'l let you know how it goes... I'll only be able to compare it with my Mano. I'm looking forward to riding a gunny pin tail. Where abouts up north have you surfed your Son Of Bomb??...Tombies? Centrey's? Warra?..There is so much up there..

I posted not long ago about the Baby Bomb. I like with thruster set up as I feel I get more speed. A nice board that excel on big waves.
Anything 1 1/2 over head and it comes out..
