MangoDingo said..Greeney said..MangoDingo said..The Striker looks like a good shape - and clearly has many fans, but what's goin on with the deck grip?!? It looks so naff! Just a really odd looking design and ugly as.
Dunno- maybe someone could tap Jimmy on the shoulder and quietly mention it might be time to refresh the grip design on the Striker?
Having said that, i reckon the Destroyer looks fully sick. and is definitely on my next board list.

Where are you, SupBandit and what length board are you chasing? I agree that the Sunova Steeze, while having its differences, is one of the closest matches. But they too are rare...
MangoDingo! How dare you!

I don't mind the deck grip. But then I am in love and love is blind (Here's my 8'11).

I like that Jimmy knows we want grip on the nose of the board. I do also really like the subtle Sunova appoach, but they should come with a free pack of hexa traction for the bit they missed.
Ha! Greeney!

Geez, I dunno man. It looks like they had some left over grip on the floor of the shaping room and thought, " let's just fill in the gaps where it's empty."
And anyway, if you want to get yr toes on the nose - get thee to the local and hand over some scheckles for a block of Mrs Palmers!
Or get yrself a Steeze

Or a 9'2 Destroyer

Now that you've said it, I can't unsee it.
Would love a Steeze and a Destroyer and and ...
It is amazing to think how many great Jimmy boards and Sunovas must be out there and yet relatively few come back on the used market. That's testament to a good quality build and good design, I guess.
SupBandit: I reckon once you get up to the 10ft mark, a good longboard shape like a Smik Style Lord or Sunova Style could also maybe come into the equation. Again, not the same as the Striker, but with a certain overlapping appeal.
