I just had 3 airsups blow a seam in one evening (never had this before) - in the hot afternoon sun - but covered over completely with a silver tarpaulin and stood on their rails (ie not completely planshape up ) .... they were only 13/14 psi inflated at the time (when they can take 18) - so it really surprised me the heat could inflate way past the extra 4psi ??? .... I checked also 1 left out the next day - and for sure the board was cooler under the tarp than if I had left exposed to the sun but some wind cooling on it ..... Anyways - wont risk that again !

Our ULI boards were nearly new we rolled them up and stored in a ULI bag in the house which doesn't get above 29Deg C . Due to an accident we didn'use them for three years. When we inflated them last week both boards completely delaminated( the two layers separated ) at under 12PSI . So this is not a temperature or storage problem it can only be an age problem Or Quality problem.
I do think what happens if a board is brand new and sits in a shop for years before being sold what comeback would the customer have when the board delaminates just after warranty period.
Anyway the first SUP we bought was an Eagle inflatable that was ten years ago a very basic sup ,we upgraded to ULI inflatables and 6 hard boards of various brands . All the hard boards are still going strong the ULI's are gone BUT the EAGLE still gets used by our kids on a regular basis.
So I will now buy a couple of cheap inflatables wont risk good money on Brand Names.

We've had 3 years out of cheap Costco Body Glove inflatables for $349 with no issues. Everything I read suggests that rolling up is the real problem. Many now suggest folding the last couple of feet at each end, instead of rolling tightly like you have to at the start of the rolling. Less stress on seams.
