Hi I'm contemplating between the Red 13.6 explorer or the Naish one Air 12.6.
Any suggestions?

Any help would be great

Cheers Tass

How heavy are you Tassnew? I'm 85kgs and the Naish felt a bit banana-ish to me. Fun and pretty fast board though and quite stable. Max recommended pressure is 15 PSI. I ended up with a Red 12'6 explorer because the whole family can use it. It is very stiff and I ride it at 18 PSI. It is surprisingly quick for such a large board. I reckon go for the red paddle - great construction and it would be fast and stiff. The new red's are really light and the pump and backpack are awesome. I found this on the inter web when researching my board. It is a pretty good review of the Red.

Thanks jojameka for the reply.. Been hearing a lot of different opinions. Someone also recommended the Quatro roam air 12.6. I think it just comes down to $$$ at the end. But yes have heard red paddles are quite stiff and have the new technology which makes them even lighter? By the way I'm 96kg

I think DJ's is the 12'x34' Naish Air Glide. Would be stiffer than the Naish one - more volume.

Yes.. It's the 12'x 34 Air Glide..

I'm also around the 96-98kg mark and find the 12'6" x 30 (and other 30" wide inflatables) a little tippy unless it's calm water.. The bigger 34" wide board feels noticeably stiffer.. and much more stable..

The Red boards are very good but remember the higher the air pressure the heavier the board gets unless it starts off noticeably lighter..

The new Red explorers both come in at just over 11 kegs.

Nice, I think the one is only 10 KGS. I agree about stability with the inflatables. They are a little corky ( for want of a better word). Forgot to mention too that the Fanatic 12'6 x 32 premium is worth considering, as are the Starboard 12 '6 x 31 touring. There was a Quattro 12'6 advertised on the buy and sell ( Shop specials I think ) that was heavily discounted at Core board sports.

Thanks guys.. Had a look at the Quatro its a demo model.. The Red I'm looking at is 13.2x30 350 ltr volume. Red comes with double barrel pump and the wheeled bag also had side battens for more stability...
