New board arrived...wow it's light! Haven't weighed it but must be about 17 lbs with fins in. It's a 9,6 x 31 Infinity New Deal, 141 Litres for my 210 lbs (95kg). The nose and tail is the most thinned out I have had on a SUP. I really like how the nose is a little bit more pulled in. They've really hidden the volume nicely tapered down to narrow rails but looks pretty forgiving in the middle. The finish is top class. Rail tape straight on as I'm not sure how it will react to little chips. Handle nicely balanced. Hoping this becomes my daily driver ..I'm usually surfing in pretty slack waves..rarely over head high. Subtle nose concave to double and vee off the tail I think.quite pronounced just before the fins. Fins are large sides and a slightly smaller 4.5 US box centre fin..so a thruster more or less.

Just need some waves to get it wet!

Very nice. I've been thinking about getting the exact same board, in the exact same size as my next purchase. Keen to hear your thoughts on it.

I'll let you know how I get on after a few surfs. Might be a while judging by our forecast!

Great looking board, getting one for my wife was best decision ever:) I'd love to know all all the different sizes surf.

Still only managed one surf...chest high rollers on a peaky beach break. I usually ride all my longboards with medium/small sides and 7 inch centre fin. The board came with large sides and a 4.5 centre fin. I'm not convinced the current fin set up works for me..found it dragging a bit getting hung up on the top of waves when trying to get them. Maybe the fins are suited to punchier waves? On the waves it seems a fast board with unbelievable hold..too much hold for my liking so I am going to swap to my usual 2 + 1 fin set up. Funny as a surfer came up to me after and said I had got two amazing waves so maybe I'm being a little hard on myself. I think it will force me to ride a little further back on the board than my others..which isn't a bad thing. I think the rails are going to be a big difference on the board and carving will be great on open faces. Stability is fine.
So far so good and it's nice to learn more about a new board which surfs different to what I have at the moment. Early days!

a mate of mine just got the 10x29 I've had two goes on it in knee to waist surf and thought it was fantastic even considering 29 is a bit narrow for me.

Only been out once since last time so I'm still in the getting used to new board territory. And I've not really had ideal conditions. Tried it with smaller sides and 7 inch centre and I think I preferred that to the stock large sides and smaller centre fin. For its dims I don't find it particularly stable..not tippy by any means but needs a little more work. The one thing I have noticed is that it grips the wave face amazingly..I feel very locked in/solid. It's work in progress...just need a run of decent clean surf. Enjoying it..but don't have that immediate wow factor but I genuinely do think once I have dialled it in and spent lots more time on it that it will be a big thumbs up. For me it is proving a little trickier ...but I do prefer boards that take time to get to grips with.keeps it interesting.

One negative: whilst the carry handle is well balanced it is quite shallow so you don't get your hand right in. Not an issue if you don't need to carry the board a long way but even though it is a light board, I am swapping hands a fair bit. But I tend to have lengthy walks to the surf. Also not good in colder climates and you are wearing winter gloves.

Yes my mates 10x29 felt very locked in on the wave. So much so that I almost managed a nose ride. I'm not an experienced longboarder. That said when I stepped back it came round really well. I like the arch bar it gave me confidence to push harder.

OK / How did you go about getting it here. I'm after the 10 foot Speed paddle board but I found by the time you pay for import duty and GST at the air port it was just to expensive. Did you find a way around that? Yes they are seemingly full carbon and super light bit I can't find any one else that does that in OZ.

Custom board from Smik? Scotty can basically come up with anything you want...

I have the 10' New Deal. The stock thruster fins are way too much fin. Maybe they work better in the smaller boards.

After trying many different fin set ups, what works best is 3.75 small side bites with the Futures Lost Single Fin-6.25. Works really well. Loose, fast, drive.

What also worked well was the same small side bites with the FCS Harley Longboard center fin.... but lacked a bit of drive but still super fun.

I might try it as a single for the heck of it.

Are the side bites quad trailers? Thanks for sharing fins that are working for you

Slab did you try the stock center and Q sides?

My board didn't come with stock Infinity fins..came with Large Futures sides and 4.5 Centre fin. Just didn't work for me. I've always come back to a 2+1 set up on my longboard SUPs. I tried 3.5 sides and the 7 inch Centre and it was okay but wanted a bit more hold. I just gave the medium Quobbas a go on the sides..more of an experiment and wasn't really expecting much. For me I could definitely feel something different.the board just felt less draggy on the wave. Enough for me to notice it..and like it. I had two chest high sessions and the board felt great. Since then I've had rubbish surf for about a month!

Still waiting on someone to review the Speed Wide.
