I know Red Paddle have a great reputation but they're expensive. Supboarder Mag gave Honu a big rap . I'm looking at the 12'6 Serrento for training and cruising . Can't test so have to buy somewhat blind. I did notice Supboarder review was 'paid'. I respect those guys but they can bang on a bit .
Anyone used the Sorrento or any Honu for a bit off feedback please? Much appreciated.

Even though they did give it a rap in the head to head test it does look the goods at the price. Apparently Beau Nixon is in OZ now testing them. Why not email him directly at Supboarder? He seems pretty straight with advice. Good luck.

Where are you going? I was going to say buy something when you get there. Then I had a look at the Honu. You won't get carbon stringers etc on the cheap brands in Europe. That looks like a stiff light board. Its wide, shame they don't do a narrower one.
Depends on the conditions you will be paddling in.

Initially arriving in the UK . Ocean paddling and also some rivers . I would prefer narrower . Red paddle do a 12'6 race board at 28' wide. Really looks the goods but over a grand more than the Honu package . It's expensive over there . The Honu on paper is by far the best deal . (If I buy here.) Was hoping for any feedback on them if anyone can provide any .

Getting anything sent to the UK from a European company could be risky, since its not Europe anymore. There have been delays but it seems to be getting better. A mate of mine bought a Redwood board.

Also be careful of laws in different countries. For instance I am in France and you need a double chambered board to go more than 300m offshore.

Mate, I have the 21 model and it is every bit as good as they say it is. My review is on their website with heading
SOMETIMES YOU CAN JUST FEEL QUALITY AND POTENTIAL UNDERFOOT AS THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY PASSES BY..THIS IS ONE OF THOSE BOARDS..

I have also been looking at this as a cheaper option. Although as suggested.. is a single bladder safe to take offshore (im often out a fair bit). Have seen some large creatures out there.. rather not have to swim back.
Would be interested to hear how they go with ocean rollers/downwind etc.
