i never thought I'd say anything bad about my 8'8 x32 ,but as said it feels boxy in the rails and doesn't bite the wave as good as the narrower hokua ,but the x32 has its day when its mushy and small it will shred .
not biting into the chop rather float across it and carry all the looseness you could imagine in a board.
If you want loose and throw around ,x32 .more bit on a face and bigger wave riding hokua.the hokua paddles a lot faster ,as the x32 has lots of rocker ...never nosed dived once .
I'm 96 kgs.
i have both .9,1 and 8'8.
I Still enjoy riding the 9'1 in big days .it catches waves way easier .than the 8'8 due to less rocker ..
and has 150 litres ..if i feel old i will take this one out ,
