Great choice of board btw.
Many people over complicate fins.
Simple concept ..... right up equals looseness and right back more drive/stiffer and less looseness.
However a few years back I had the 7'10 Smik hipster, and put my rear right up in small beaches and back further the bigger it got. Up was good in small 2/3 ft and then moved it back as it got bigger.
Surfed it in 4/6ft Gold Coast Point breaks and felt I needed more centre rear size, so spoke to Scotty Mc and he advised me to move my front fins forward a tad as there was a bit of movement allowed in the front boxes still.
Try moving the centre rear forward and back in 1cm increments by taking a fin key out with you and adjusting it in the water on the go.
I have a long term relationship with fins, they intrigue me with the effect the have on your board. I also ran the Asher Pacey twin fin and small centre rear set and found them the best for me and my style. Check out the link attached below.
