Just saw this on the Balmoral Paddle Board Facebook page.
Creek mentioned it to me a few weeks ago on YouTube. This will be a stiff competitor to inflatables and even potentially to standard hard boards in the future ....if it works ....and it looks like it does

.....or you want some variety.
E.g. Speeed Back end with the option of a Speeed front or with customised pulled in nose option.
The one and a half board. Infact the options are limitless

Only had to take the seat out
Not sure I see the point with roof racks being invented

This board belongs to my buddy Mike
it's 10' x 34"

He weighs 145 kg (320 lbs)
it is his daily driver... he loves it!

That will be a great test of durability!

While in Thailand, I surfed an 8'10 Speeed - 2 piece in OH waves.
It surfed exactly the same as my 8'10 Speeed..... I actually forgot I was on a 2 piece

Actually.... incorrect.

2 pieces are not made in 2-piece....

They make a normal board..... then, cut it in half
It's the only way to get exactly matching halves.

Then they put the system in..... including adding a additional gortex vent to the rear half.
Very cool process

i just brought a new handsaw and two bars .
which one should i cut first .?

i'm guessing a three piece paddle would all fit in under 4,5 feet ...next time travelling you could afford to take 2 boards .(suitcases i mean )

why hasn't any one invented a fixed screw together paddle ,like a pool que.
you could even have different lengths for 14' & surf .just change one end ...
i paton it .

On the "zone" I was chastised for adding a couple of FCS2 fin boxes to my Sunova Skate because it would change the flex of the board and that Bert would have a "bird" when he found out.....now I see he is cutting his boards in half....won't that change the flex??? ....Seriously though ......I think this is a fantastic idea!

Cheers

They had one on our Maldives trip. It was a surf board - a long, thin nose rider - and it seemed to work a treat. Both James C and Bert were riding it and it held up fine - and both of them put it under some serious strain. As has been said, for travel, and for people who don't have room at home for longer boards, and for people who struggle to lift a normal board onto roof racks, this could be a perfect solution.

And Tardy, I have a three-piece Quick Blade paddle that fits together and is fastened with an Allen-key. Works well.

The paddle is slightly heavier, and the diameter of the shaft is slightly larger. (It has a padded grip which I really like.). I switched to a different paddle because of what I learned here on the forum. I wanted more flex in the shaft and a smaller blade. I think my QB was approx 100 sqin and the one I bought is 84 sqin. I take it on surf trips as backup, and when I recently broke my paddle I again used it. (But I have to tell you, I had really sore shoulders/arms/elbows after using it for two hours - felt it for a couple of days.) My replacement paddle blade has been delivered so I will switch back again.)

If you could connect those two joining rods together with a short length of chord that'd make a handy set of nunchucks to beat off angry proners with too.
