Hi all First time poster here. I've been reading the forum for about a week and getting lots of good information, so thanks for that!

I'm looking at my first sup board as something entry level as an all rounder. I've narrowed it down to:

2016 Indian Ocean Paddle Surf 9'4 x 31
2016 C4 waterman ten thirty

Cost aside, I'd love to hear people's thoughts on comparison between the two boards. I'd mainly be using it in the river or ocean in calm days.

Many thanks!

Why are you buying boards that are aimed at people who surf if you aren't going to surf?

I wouldn't mind trying to catch some small waves in time and these have been recommended by some of the stores. Also been reading about some of the cheaper sub $1000 alternatives so I have landed here

Hey newbsup.
i haven't heard of the indian ocean brand sup, at 9'4" it sounds a bit more of a surf sup that is very stable.
The 1030 has been a reliable and stable sup, for me. i have owned one for the last 2 years. It surfs well in small conditions, but is surprisingly nimble in larger surf! The 1030 is great in flat water, i use mine on the ocean and in the river on flat days.
cheers PB
