I've tried them all

3D's , Elevon's , Rasta Sea Shepard Twins , they all have their great moments but overall they don't suit most conditions especially when it's choppy. The big difference with Sups is they don't need lift in the tail as these fins can try to push the tail up only to create drag.
It's fun playing around (can get expensive) but I find you get best overall performance from standard set up's.
