Hi saw the comments back in August on this board and was wanting to buy a nose rider style board. Just wondered if anyone had any comments / reviews now that it has been available on the market. Also what else it compares too... Thx

I just got mine last week but so far haven't had it on the water. It is a very cool looking board. 10' and only 130 litres it promises alot.

Another option is the Sunova Style 10 x 29 x 130 litres

Had the Stylemaster out at Aramoana today in nice clean 3-4 foot. Perfect conditions for the stylemaster. Wow is all I can say. This board has incredible glide and I caught so many waves that normally the AllWave that I normally surf would not. Only 130 litres but sits very stable in the water and paddles well on the flat. Did abit of board walking which was fun just need some wax on the front. The deck is slightly concave which made it very easy to lean into the rails. Super fun. Everyone should have one of these in their quiver.

The idea was to make a board that catches tonnes of waves, is easy to ride but still performs for an accomplished rider.
I'm only 75kg and have happily surfed it in .5-4ft and had a ball.

This board also only comes in our wood construction. It not only looks good but won't hurt your pocket like other options on the market.

I will agree it is a tiny bit heavier then other options but I find this helps to glide thru sections and catch fatter waves.
(It's definitely not so heavy that I can't carry it back to the car after 3 hrs on it)

If your struggling with lack of stoke or just don't catch enough waves, this is the board for you.

Do yourself a favour and demo it.

I demoed this board and really liked it. It pretty much does what the marketing hype said it does. It invites you to get up to the nose and is stable, turns well, and easy to ride.

The only things I didn't like were the graphics -why emblazon the board with the dimensions in big letters on the side? Put it discretely along the stringer please, like is traditional for longboard surf boards - because that is the demographic this board is going to appeal to most (ex-longboarders). And the name "Stylemaster" kinda writes cheques that few will have the skill to cash. What is your next model going to be called? The "I'm bloody marvellous"? I'd feel a bit of a twat with that writ large on my board. But plenty of other people don't feel so strongly about it for sure. Each to their own. But for me, I like subtle, discrete, traditional styling.

Another option would be the Deep 10' x 28.5" x 4" and about 130l. Contact Simon at Deep Oceanboards ( Dolphin Surfcraft) on the Gold Coast. Only issue is being custom a short wait to get it made. Well made and light with a flat deck - not domed like the StyleMaster.

I'll second this. I'm now riding a Deep 10'1". Before this I have owned the naish nalu 10'6, Nalu 10'0" Le and the Sunova style 10'0". I haven't ridden the style master, but have seen the comparisons between it and the other boards I mentioned and honestly can't see it being as good as the Deep. The Deep kills all of the other boards I have owned and I would seriously advise you to consider one of these over any other board out there.

What level of riding are you at? How hard do you mind things being? 135 should be fairly comfortable if your an intermediate, might be a bit more difficult if your still more of a learner, but within a few months you would probably adjust to it. These longer boards do tend to be more stable than shorter boards with the same volume.

Dam even short sups have a wider range than that at slightly less litres.

But yes it's a beautiful looking board

Would be nice to compare the style master with the deep cruiser series 10'x31 that is guessing both are based in the same league .
Deep site is down so unable to check litres on there's but from memory a lot more than 130

I think the cruiser is as the name suggests more of a big cruisy type board. I'm sure it would go ok, but it's the Deep performance longboard that your after which can be custom made to whatever litres, length, width, thickness or outline that you want. It's the board that was designed in collaboration with Jackson Close, who won a few national longboarding titles before becoming the national sup title holder.

Yeah, their boards are better than their website.. Have a look at their Facebook page. They've got a few of these boards on there atm.

I'm 79 kg mate and the boards is sitting well in the in the water when I'm standing still waiting for waves, but I'm not the strongest in the legs department either and when I'm surfing it I wish I had a bit more weight but yea with the thinner rail profile I could imagine it would be a bit of battle for bigger guys,,,I think if u froth on 10 ft surfing (these things noseride that good)and keep it moving whilst waiting I don't think being 85 or 90 kg is going to be too much of a drama.
10 flys are lighter and have more volume in the rail and with the right fins surf just as good as any 10ft out there, if you're into fanatic!

Hi everyone, I did get a hold of a a fanatic style master, by no means and am I a master nose rider.

At first I was a little tippy getting use to the board. I did settle down quite quickly once I was use to it. I do agree that the board is quite heavy, how ever it jumps on waves very easily. I was not in love enough to part with the cash on this Occassion.. I have decided to investigate a custom board and get a unique board and design, very excited thanks all for thoughts and comments
