I have been riding a Naish Man 10' for the past year and am looking for something a little better in the surf. I am considering a fanatic allwave 9'2 .it floats me fine and I am looking for a radical change. I am am reasonably experienced surfer of over 60.

If you want a radical change go for a ProWave or Hokua - the AllWaves are great but not radically different (they are more mal-nose profile than shortboard). There will be plenty of other choices I just haven't used them. Pro-Wave 9'2" would be a good choice - if it is still in the range? I have the 8'10" - it's excellent.

Whilst I agree with Bens suggestion I would say mate that its pertinent to point out that there is a signficant difference between the allwave and the prowave. Certainly I would say that allwave is a far more stable on the water than the prowave but its something that with a bit of effort you will get used to. In saying that the prowave is far better on a wave imo. I say this given your desire for a radical change. What is you height and weight as these are factors as well.

Coming off a 2013 or earlier Mana, there is significant change in the 2014 model. I would suggest looking at the new models, as they are a lot more surfy and there is some a new 8'5" which rips but keeps a bit of volume.

I've ordered the yet to be released 2014 Prowave 9'6 having just sold my Allwave 8'10 which I really loved but i'm nearly 65 I think the volume of about 156 litres the prowave will give surfability , paddle power and at 31" wide should be really stable. The pro wave looks great with parabolic handle and should be fairly light being a carbon board.

Pro Wave and All wave totally diff SUPs - just same company. Pro Wave way more tippy and made for waves with lots of push.

Take a look at the new 2014 Allwaves - look like a slight improvement on the current versions - but still a tad too much volume IMHO. You can see the new version on the Zone.

No, take a look at the 2014 9'6 Prowave which at 31' wide should not be tippy at all.

Yup - should be good at 31 wide and 150 or so volume. The volume and width is up at the front with the tail being pretty small and tapered in - great on bigger/faster waves...and with the more advanced rocker. Sure you'll have a blast!!

I have the Allwave 9.2 and can say its not a radical change from your Mana 10

If you want a radical change the Hokua in 9.10 or 9.5 depending on your weight and ability

Can I ask if you have seen the new Mana Range? Maybe check out the Naish 2014 thread

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/Review/2014-Naishs/

The Mana has had a radical redesign

Thanks for all the advice.. I'm solid build which is code for 174cm, 100kg

I'm looking to enjoy myself , want something reasonably stable and don't want to spend my time fighting the board. That was why I have initially looked at the allwave
