Hi, anybody who has experience from this board Fanatic Fly Wood SUP 9ft6 (9'6" x 31" x 151 liters of volume).
My wife (55 kg) and I (71 kg) are beginners.
We will use it as allround SUP and I will maybe catch some small waves.

Malvina, I've never tested this board and I reckon it will be ok as per your weight and skill.

Hi
Not sure what year this board is. I am same weight as you and had a 9' wood fly as my second board. Not a good board to start on. It was 29" wide. Perhaps the 31" wide fly will be ok but really think about a bit wider board to start on. It really helps to have a stable platform to first get into the waves and a 32-33" wide board will help a lot.

Personally as someone who is just starting to progress in small waves after a few months of falling off a 30" wide board, I recommend going 32" wide minimum and 10'+.

You really should learn to surf on a soft board first !!! 9 +foot and 32 wide is a wepon on water to yourself and those around!!!

Ok, thanks for your thoughts so far and I will consider your comments above. This is a brand new with a good lowered price of 1.099 USD. Might search for something wider.

Late reply but anyway, if you haven't already secured a purchase the fanatic fly will be fine for you and partner. My wife is learning she is slightly heavier at 70kgs she has the Fanatic Diamond which has the same deminsions as the Fly, this will be perfect for both of you especially when you both start to progress. You will also appreciate the less width and length when you start to carry/ transport your board. I have a 8"3 x 32 Hokua, 10"6 x 30 Nalu and 10" x 29" NSP. Surfing for 30+ years and paddling for 4 years. Occasionally I will jump on the Diamond and find the Diamond really fun and easy to surf.

hope this helps...

stay stoked!
