Hi

Looking at buying the either the Fanatic Diamond Pure 9'6 X 31 or the starboard converse 9x30. I'm 55kg and 167 in height.
Based in Perth so 75% flat water and the occasional small wave.

Any recommendations would be fantastic.

Thanks!

Hi Tan,

Depending on your budget I'd say the DIAMOND will be a cheaper option. and depending on which construction Converse you go for.So far we have had nothing but happy customers, who have purchased the DIAMOND.

enjoy and good luck.

Hi My wife has the exact same board Fanatic Diamond in 9'6 and she is pretty much your height and weight. Hasn't been in the surf yet but the closest paddle to us has lots of boats so there is lots of wash and chop, she is loving it. Paddles pretty well and she has found it plenty stable for her. She has had it for a month now. I think it would be a fun board in small surf, some rocker and stable.

At 55kg go the smaller board. I am 75kg and surf the Converse - it is a great board, extremely stable and bouyant at 137 litres especially at your weight. Also it will be easier to handle being slightly smaller.
