Hi guys, am interested in hearing your opinions on the allwave SUP's particularly the 8'10 model. What are the main differences in the 2012 vs 2013? I am a light weight guy 70-75kg's so I don't really want any bigger. Have SUP'd before, and as you can guess from my avatar, I enjoy wave sailing, so not a complete noob

the 2013 model is bluey aqua color, the 2012 is bright green and the 2013 model is $50 - $100 dearer. Theres no difference in board shape, size or performance, just graphics.

8'10" would be plenty of volume for you. I'm 6'3" 100kg and the 9'2" easily floats me (although I own a 9'6" which I prefer as an allrounder)

Yeah good to know that they are the same shape, obviously a great shape if they have stuck with it for another season. Personally I prefer the green 2012 colors, will have to hunt around the shops.

Yeah great board, I have the 9 ft 2" version which is my second board, great board to learn to ride waves on. Plenty of width in the tail so you don't have to throw your weight forward on take off on smaller waves, in fact if you do you may well nose dive !!!! Bomb proof outer skin, medium weight i guess for a non carbon board so no moans here.

Have the 2013 and used it 4 times. Super fun board, stable, great in surf. Prefers a high rating for padelling and later take offs. Just love it.
Mine is 9 6, I am 83kg and it could be a little shorter for me but what the hell. Great fun, love love love it!

I have 8'10 2012 model. Great board. Love it. It has enough volume to improve your surfing skills but can surf well. With your weight you can also look into 8'6 model.

I picked up a 2012 allwave 9'6" x32 today with the green paint job. Can't wait to try it out. I sold my Starboard big easy as I don't use it for flat water anymore and needed a smaller wave board hence the allwave. Almost worked out as a 1 for 1 trade :-)
I am 105kgs so I think it will be perfect.
