So I'm after a dedicated 14' flatwater only board. The last three years I've been on a Hobie E series 14x26. I'm 72kg.
There are 3 used boards for sale for similar price that fit the bill.
What should I choose?
A. 2014 Fanatic falcon flat water 14x24 $1600
B. 2014 Naish Javelin Le x 14x26 $1900 with bag
C. 2013 Naish Javelin Mc 14x26 $1500
Cheers

Dedicated flat water the fanatic is the go for me out of those three which I've paddled all of. At 24 wide it's surprising stable but glides effortlessly. Anything bumpy though and the naish's would be quicker as you would have more stability that's for me anyways.

Fanatic really is a dedicated flat water machine.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback Andy. I messaged DJ and he recommended the same. I think I can't go wrong. Cheers

Whaaaat??? DJ recommended a Fanatic over a Naish? This could herald the end of the SUP world as I understand it. But I guess that is some kind of recommendation indeed. At this rate he'll be saying that the SIC BulletV2 is a better downwinder than the 2015 Javelin. Or maybe that's a step too far.

Ha.. I'm not that one-eyed.. .. Fanatic make very good race boards..

A 2" narrower board that's designed specifically for flat water should be the faster board in flat water but the Jav would be more stable and the better board for DWers IMO.. btw.. As good as the new Jav is for DWing the SIC would be the better DW specific board.. When I say better I mean easier.. and not nessasarraly the fastest..
