I have a Simon Anderson Stand Sure 9'6 that a purchased recently second hand. I've owned it for about a month and it is less than a yr old. On my last surf i realized that almost the entire section from the nose back to the deck grip has delaminated and feels quiet spongy. Not impressed!

Has anyone on here had this happen to them before and know who the best repairer in Sydney would be for this type of problem?

I would like the board to last as long a possible so i don't want to have anything shonky done to it.

Any help would be appreciated,

Cheers

Any chance you left it out in the sun at all or left it somewhere where it might have got too hot? Just take it back to where you got it and let them have a look i'm sure they would have somewhere to fix it as well!!

I had it on the roof of my car inside a padded board bag and had some lunch on the way home from the beach a couple of weeks ago.

It would have been a high 20 to low 30 degrees day and out there for maybe 40 mins. Nothing too extreme.

If i cant take it out in that kind of weather without it imploding I'm thinking i might have to move to another country.

I bought it privately so cant take it back there. It is an Anderson board and they are on the northern beaches. Just wanted to get an idea from others out there who have had this happen on what i might be up for. I want to know when its repaired that it's been done properly.

It's a big job the fix the deck needs to come off but it can be repaired , the more you use it the worse it will get , it could not just be heat it could also be water , any small cracks or holes in the board. The board may have had the heat damage before you bought it. On small bubbles you can drill a hole and push in some epoxy but yours sounds past that unfortunately.
