I always find it amusing reading peoples opinions on which boards may or may not work. As JM himself said, it's all about choosing a board, getting comfortable and making it work for you.
Good to see some people still willing to support small/local business especially with current economy.
Personally I see mass produced boards as being a greater risk, as the big company's wait an entire year for the new range before they change possible problems in design. And i would like to see some evidence supporting claims about varying Degrees of testing.
Dont know about all the big brands but i do know Naish and Fanatic do a **** load of testing!! i know because i have helped with both companies and i only see a little bit of what goes on, they dont just test in one spot as well they will have boards spread out around the world getting feed back on them.
Also the joys with someone like Fanatic is Sebastian(the Shaper) uses some of the best computer modeling software stuff available which can cut out massive mistakes that most guys will miss!!
I'm not saying don't buy your custom if thats what you want go for it but if you buy from a big brand then know your board IS tested and will do what it says it will!! Pretty sure there is a place for both on this earth!!
