Hi all, I picked up the Coreban 11'6" Woody ( I ordered it a while ago they had to make them lighter thus the delay) I own and was using my 10' Naish Manna which is a good board, but Ive wanted to get on waves earlier and more glide. Like a Mal. I tested out several boards earlier this year the Coreban 11'6" had more of the glide I was looking for. Watching the Coreban video's I could see some potential in bigger waves too. So I went the little extra $ for the Woody 11'6". I,ve been on the Woody the last three days down at Nannarup Albany WA, from head high waves down to about 1 meter. Once dialed in and finding the back foot pad it rips. Cremed some good waves down the line. It picks up waves earlier and of course I had acouple of wipeouts. No problems riding from rail to rail moves around great. It does everything the Naish 10' Manna has done and more at times, just as stable. The coreban deck grip is great, no slipping off. I weighed both boards (bathroom scales only) the Manna at 13kgs the Woody 11'6" at 16kgs the extra weight seems to stop any bouncing of the longer board, when paddling out this seems to assist getting through most of the waves. Not only does it looks great it rides great. It also has bonus clear rail protector as standard. I was only using the single main fin & will try out the truster & just two fins next sessions. Can't wait to give it ago in some bigger waves. I also saw the 9' Coreban Fusion looks great I'll have to give one of those ago, some good reviews on them! With a big & small board I may have to move the Manna on? So I recommend going out and try one, once you find the back foot pad you will be suprised! Just a note I am 84kg's & No associations with dealers.
Well the Fusion woody would be nice. I would like to try both normal & the woody some day. For looks you can not beat the woody. So I don't know if any of the Fusion Woodys came into the country. If some one got one it would be interesting to hear about it?
I haven't seen one yet but they are here - sounds like you may find it difficult to demo one if you have to travel so far each time. If they have an eps board they may not have a woody Fusion to demo as well.
