Both are fun boards, the Fusion is more stable with more width from tail to nose. The JL is a bit tippy at 27' wide but surfs better rail to rail.

For begin to interm I'd go the fusion, interm to adv I'd go the JL.

Hi

I have had 9 Coreban Fusion Pure and now have 9' 1" and 8' 7" JL Kwads these boards give me the best of stabiliy and performance.

For my 76kg the Fusion was far less stable and too corky otherwise a nice board.

The Fusion from memory is 146 l x 29.5" wide the JL 9' 1" is 130 x 30" wide and 8 7 at 115 l x 29" wide. The rocker on JL Kwads works well for me in both stability and performance plus both JLs seemed to be far better straight line paddlers making wave catching much easier.

Hello again,
the Hanalei 9'8 was my first sub 10 SUP board. Good but tippy. Love big and hollow waves but the Mano and now the Kwad surf much looser and turn better..
The Hanalei have more of a longboard feeling love long turns. They are ok for nose riding.

I love my Fusion pure. Use the Quads for small surf, thruster set up when it gets a bit bigger.
I weigh just under 80kg and find it relatively stable. But still loose.
