Geeze, at 8.8 it doesn't look the 32 wide. Nicely proportioned! Can you pump it down the line and generate speed?

Hey bobajob yes you can pump it for an extra burst of speed. It feels a lot quicker to me and much less "boaty"" than the widebody starboard, jp or fanatic allwaves of similar length. I put that down to less volume and weight, less rocker and finer rails.

I cant wait..arriving in Hawaii tomorrow and have the All good booked from the boys at blue planet for 10 days..hoping to grab the potato chip too at some point. Im sure in a previous post you were giving the potato chip a big wrap MickMc?? CAN you give a brief on the differences between the two boards???

Sure can bomber. Both great boards. Similar stability, maybe the potato chip would be a little more stable in heavy chop with the wider tail. Potato chip is the fastest board I've surfed. On overhead waves plus I had to switch from quad fins to big single with side bites to try and get the little rocket under control. Turns are flatter and skatier for me at 75kg, harder to sink the wider tail when at speed. The all good is just that. Smooth in control on bigger waves and still heaps of fun on the small stuff. More forgiving on a wave that jacks up quickly with more nose rocker. Both are quick when you step up to the nose, don't bog down, but the chip with very little nose rocker will allow you to get right up there. I'll be interested to hear what you think after you've tried them!

Ahh, can you wear a 15kg vest to take that 75 kg up to 90 and report back?

Ha ha you'll be fine at 90. I'd actually prefer a little less volume but same shape

Im 98KG NOW after 2 weeks in the health conscious USofA...the boys at blue planet are trying to get me to take an 8'6 potato chip ....going in tomorrow to sort out Ill probably grab both the 8'8 all good and the 8'6 potato chip for my son...just hope the swell improves...

How does it compare with the Blue Planet Potato Chip Mick? Less stable? Easier turning?

Hey Murray, see above for my thoughts on a comparison between the Potato Chip and the All Good. Summarising, both so stable it doesn't really matter which is more stable. Chip is a slashier, skatier wide tailed board turn while the all good pivots more on a rail with it's rounded pin tail.

THX, for the reviews I hve just purchased the 8.8 Blue planet All good HP an amazing product and great value for money. Handles all conditions with ease a great preformer.

Aaaannnnd thread from the dead - an All Good is available locally for a decent price and I think its the kind of thing I am after:

ie, a little bit longer for some glide, but not too long;
A bit wider for stability, but nice fine looking rails;
Some rocker, not super flat like some (JP widebody), not too much like others (X32).

Has anyone ridden one and can give some feedback?

I went from a 9' 4" x33' 143L funstick to a 9'5 " x 32 152L widepoint Starlite. They are both excellent boards with great stability. The thing that got me was the weight of the boards coz I'm an old fat guy with back and hip issues and the WP is way lighter than Blue Planet boards though they are really heavy either. I reckon the Potato Chip and All good would be terrific as they make the rails nice and fine so like the Funstick they turn on a dime and you can really pump some speed into them. The price is excellent but get rail tape as they tend to chip easily. I think you won't regret buying one. All boards can be good dependant on the rider. These boards allow you to improve your skills and fully show off any that you already possess. BTW the funstick is a great noserider
